How to boost your brand - without breaking the bank

The first National Fitness Conference took place at the National Space Centre in Leicester, with a theme of How to Boost Your Brand – Without Breaking the Bank. The day, attended by over 100 industry delegates who were keen to hear top tips from the experts, kicked off with informative and inspiring talks from star of The Apprentice Katie Bulmer-Cooke and fitness industry guru Ken Heathcote. Visitors then got the chance to attend breakout sessions on either the secrets to secondary spend success – delivered by LFX founder Graeme Hinde and CEO of CFM/MYZONE Dave Wright – or how to get their fitness businesses into the media, delivered by Action PR director Dawn Tuckwell and editor of Workout Magazine Christina Eccles. The afternoon began with a choice of two panel discussions on marketing in the modern age or the secrets of success from National Fitness Award winning operators, before retention guru Dr Paul Bedford closed the conference with his tips on how to keep members staying for longer.
